Ms. Goh was born in Seoul in 1972. She majored in oriental painting at Dankook University and later studied design at the Graduate School of Sookmyung Women’s University. She debuted as an illustrator with her work on King or Beggar, from the ‘In the School Bag’ series, in 1999. She has illustrated books like Weekly Helper Forever, Mischief Maker, and My Atelier. Magic Bottles, which she wrote and illustrated, won the Ragazzi Award at the 2006 Bologna Children’s Book Fair and The Great Mungchi won the grand prize in the picture books division atthe CJ Picture Festival in 2009.
Mr. Gwon was born in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, in 1953 and graduated from Kwandong University. He debuted by winning the JoongAng IlboSpring Literary Contest in 1981. He has written about thirty books including the poetry collections A Mouse Lives in the Tip of a Shoe, What Comes Out When You Follow a Thread?, and Gu-bang, Let’s Go Take a Bath, and the storybooks The Silver Cat, Sister Dunggeuri, and We’ll Become Adults Too. He won the Sejong Children’s Literature Award and the MBC Children’s Story Award.
Ms. Kim was born in Seoul in 1966 and studied at Gyeongin National University of Education and the Graduate School of Education at Sungkyunkwan University. Currently she teaches at an elementary school. In 1995, she won the Best New Artists Award in the children’s stories division sponsored by Today’s Literature. She also won the Best Class Library Award in Uri Education’s Class Library Contest for her book A Classroom Where We Work Together. Children’s books she wrote are Man-gil’s Changing Partner, King or Beggar, Weekly Helper Forever, The Runaway, Go Dae-guk, A Dried Filefish Reflex, Geum-bo in Gaenari Class, The Milk Ghost and the Ttakji Ghost, and The Top Rank Fool.
